The report Crisis and Reform of Aid and Development Cooperation Systems, written by José Antonio Alonso, Professor of Applied Economics at the Complutense University of Madrid, provides an in-depth analysis of the changes transforming the international cooperation system and the challenges posed by the ongoing reform of the OECD Development Assistance Committee. The study examines the structural causes of the current aid crisis, linked to the redistribution of global power, the growing diversity of the Global South, the emergence of new providers, the expansion of development agendas and the questioning of traditionally hierarchical relationships.
